Toy safety

Every toy we sell meets the EN71 European toy-safety standard, one of the strictest in the world. We buy directly from the brands or their authorised distributors, so you get the genuine product, not a copy.

Choosing a safe toy

Singapore's Consumer Product Safety Office recommends:

  • Match the toy to the age. Every product on LittleShop shows an age guide. Keep toys for older children away from younger siblings, especially sets with small parts.
  • Read the warnings on the box and follow the instructions.
  • Check battery compartments. Button batteries can cause serious internal injuries if swallowed, so make sure the compartment is screwed shut.
  • Take care with projectiles. Launchers should only fire the pieces that came with them.
  • Buy from sellers you can trace. Counterfeit toys skip safety testing.
